It's been too long since I've done one of these posts, but I think I've pulled together some excellent PopMuse Boom Boom Dance Mixes for y'all!  And of course the faithful Rampus did a blazing continuous mix which you can d'load below.  Let's get into it!!!

Cheryl Cole "Fight For This Love" (Moto Blanco Club Mix)  I have no relationship with Cheryl, but I love Moto, and this is them at their most reliable.

Mika "Rain" (Benny Benassi Remix)  My third fav track from Mika's new CD remixed HARD by Benny.  It's a little rough for the PopMuse, but some of you clubheads will love it.

Madonna "Celebration" (White Label Mix)  Really it's just an extended Oakenfold mix, but I love the way it restructures the track, best bits first.

Miley "Party In The USA" (Wideboys Radio Edit) When I first heard this song it made my skin crawl, now I love it, how, whaaaaa?  Remixes are super fun too. 

Jordin Sparks "S.O.S.(Let The Music Play)" (Karmatronic Club Mix) Ugh, I know you all love Jordin, I don't, in fact I think she mucked up this sample, BUT Karmatronic did a good job with it.

Mariah "I Want To Know What Love Is" Chriss Ortega Club Edit  SO MANY REMIXES of this floating around!  How can you decide?  I just picked one and promise to get you more soon.

Pet Shop Boys - Did You See Me Coming (Ralphi Rosario Club Mix)  Love ETC. fell flat with me, sorry, I only really like the title track, but Ralphi brought this track to a new HOT place.

The American Dream Team "My Boo" (Club Mix)  OMG someone remade this?  YES!!!

Sugababes "About A Girl" (The Sharp Boys Radio Edit)  I haven't paid attention to Sugababes line-up since Mutya left, so I don't really care which girls come and go.  This remix works for me whoever it is singing on it.

Jesse McCartney "Body Language" (Bimbo Jones Element Radio Edit)  I dunno, it's cute and Bimbo Jones, so, yeah.

Future Breeze "Fade To Grey 2009" (Future Breeze Mix)  I love the original so much this had to be here.  A decent 2009 interpretation of an absolute classic electro song.

Maxwell "Bad Habits" (Karmatronic Club Remix)  It's hard to remix Maxwell.  I think Ben Watt is the only one to really succeed with it, but this is a fair attempt.

Natalie Imbruglia "Want" (Cassette Club Remix)  I gave you my fav WANT mix on "@merican Dream" here's another one.

Depeche Mode "Perfect" (Ralphi Craig Club Mix)  Great song, great mix.  Love hearing Dave's voice against a hard house instrumental.

Will Young's New Baby

Well it should be obvious that I love this new Will Young Video.  I've always loved Will's music, his look, the sense of humor, the whole thing.  Clearly he feels the same way about PopMuse as he made this new video for me.  And I really appreciate it.  He's even reading the book from a PopMuse post about Lily from way back, sweet detail doll.  Love you Will, call me.

Funniest CD Cover EVER!

This is HIGHlarious Album artwork.  Seriously, I was looking at it laughing for minutes.  Yes, whole minutes it entertained me.  The airbrushing, the hand placement, the police tape, "crazy love", "MB", there is SO MUCH. 

SWITCH, worship whoever did it.  Oh and I have nothing against Buble, he is who he is, but this artwork is THE WORST EVER / AMAZING! 

Kylie's new track (written by Scissor Sisters)

She played it on this North America Tour.  Was super fun live, with a little Abba sample (right?).  Check it out above.  I'm still deep in a Kylie place, and it is hard to come off it after that amazing show.

Kylie Kills It In Hollywood

WOW!  The Kylie show last night at Hollywood Bowl was a MAJOR!  She absolutely killed it.  A perfect show.  Watching her reminded me of the days before LiveNation, when acts toured because they wanted to, not because they contractually (and financially) had to.

Kylie was performing for the fun of it.  She gave the kids exactly what they wanted, large scale gay camp fun.  And she looked like she was sincerely having a blast doing it.  And the humility!  I love nothing more than an appreciative pop star.  She probably lost money on this tour (huge staging, small venues, short tour) but she was doing it for the fans and she certainly locked down a loyal fan base for the next 20 years - smart move.

I know many of you still haven't seen the show, so I won't write any spoilers... And if you don't have tickets PLEASE GET THEM - THEY ARE STILL AVAILABLE!!!

I made this mix as something to listen to on the drive to the show and now I can't listen to anything else.  It's a slew of Kylie's Greatest Hits.  ENJOY!

Britney's "3", "Mannequin" and that damn Rehersal Footage that haunts me.

I'm okay that new Britney song "3", it's decent enough.  But I'm having a real moment with Britney's track "Mannequin" from Circus (synth break at 2:30 is insane!!!).  I know, old news, but that CD just delivers and delivers .  And of course Mannequin is the soundtrack to my favorite "Nu Britney" moment (I've written about it before, right?).

The clip (above) "leaked" just before her sober comeback and promised a Britney that was gonna kill it performance wise.  She looks so fresh and tight (the sneakers - perfection).  But that Britney never really materialized did she.  I look at the live stuff from the Circus Tour with the same choreography and it has none of that energy above.  Whatever, not gon' hate, love you doll, no matter.

Sam Sparro Remix Basement Jaxx Featuring Sam Sparro

Just found Sam's remix of his collabo with Basement Jaxx.  Damn his points of reference are spot on.  He picks all the best elements from 90s deep house and late 80s elegant pop, so clearly I bow at his feet.  The sexy Sax in this remix turns me out in ways I can't even type.  And damn can his big mouth blow (and by blow I mean sing.)
This is not a peak hour mix, this is how you close your set at 9am.  Haute.

PopMuse's Recent Travel Music

Hey PopMuse people, sorry it's been a while since I've posted here.  Life has been very busy these days, 'theeeeese dayyysss".  This picture sums it up really.  It was taken on a airplane on the way to a shoot. I've always loved the lighting in airplane restrooms (is that wierd?)  But the only part of flying I really enjoy are the hours of uninterrupted music listening. 

These recent flights I've had a few songs on repeat for hours at a time.  Here they are (this is not music that's gonna rock your gym experience, but I bet it will rock your airport experience):

Mariah "HATE u"  Posting this will probably get my blog shut down, but it is worth it.  You need to hear this track, it is some of Mariah's best work.  An absolutely perfect song, every lyric, every note, perfect.  And I love her new CD, so F**k wut ya herd.

While in a Texas Vintage Shop I heard this old 1991 R.E.M. song and it really stopped me in my tracks.

Well... just listening to Nico explains it all.  Nico "These Days" 

My sound guy (the best in the business and a great friend) tipped me off to this one.  The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart "Higher Than The Stars"   He hates the name of the band, I don't.  (And I'm loving all these new bands that sound like The Lightning Seeds these days.)
